Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your ride any time up to 48 hours (2 days) before your trip for no charge and a 100% refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours (2 days) before your trip, your ticket is not refundable, and you will be charged for a one-way ride.
Cancellations can only be made by emailing us at: info@dolphinshuttle.com. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled fare or no-shows are 100% non-refundable and subject to the full charge.
Flight Delay
If your flight is delayed, we will wait for you as long as you land in time to go through customs and still leave by boat. If your flight is so late that we cannot leave Red Hook in time to reach Tortola before customs closes (about 6:00 p.m. with carry-on or 5:40 p.m. with checked bags), you will need to stay overnight in St. Thomas. In this case, your missed water taxi is 50% refundable, you pay for your own hotel, and you can choose either to ride with us the next morning (and pay the remaining 50%) or take the public ferry. We strongly recommend trip interruption insurance to help cover these extra costs.
Shared Water Taxi
A shared water taxi lets you save money by sharing the boat with other guests. When you book a Shared Ride Fare, your reservation is tentative until Dolphin finds enough other riders to meet the minimum guest requirement for that fare. If we are having trouble finding other riders, Dolphin will contact you at least 3 days before your trip to let you know that we could not match you with enough other riders for our best shared price and to show you your fare upgrade options. At that point, you may choose to upgrade your fare by paying more to meet the minimum guest requirement and keep your planned travel time, or you may cancel your Shared Ride Fare with no fee if, within 24 hours before travel, we still have not found enough other riders and you do not wish to upgrade.
Dolphin Insurance
We offer optional protection for delayed bags, overnight flight delays, and full transfer protection. Current prices and details are shown on the payment form at the time you purchase your trip.
